All Aboard!!

All Aboard....For a crazy week we are just coming down from!  An awesome week, that is!  Between starting my new job, a quick weekend getaway for the hubby and me, a visit from a dear, dear friend, and a spring break visit from my sisters and their awesome kiddos...we've just been busy keeping up with our little guy!

Just a normal morning at our house!  It constantly amazes me how quickly he can leave his mark in every room of the house!  We don't explore just one or two drawers anymore, it's all of them!

He makes me laugh so hard!  Sure, I could let this frustrate me (and of course it does, sometimes), but I honestly just love watching him find new things and learn how life works!  He has started following simple commands and it has been so fun seeing him pick up new things every day!

And while he is busy learning things every day...he is teaching ME probably twice as much about life!!!  Important lessons about slowing down and taking note of all the little things in life that are bringing us so much joy!  I recently came across an amazing blog entitled, "Enjoying the Small Things." (Thanks, Kendra!)  I would highly recommend it to anyone!  This beautiful writer and photographer puts it so eloquently on her blog and it definitely speaks to my heart in many ways.

Because all babies need binoculars when they're watching tv 2 feet from them:)

It's Tournament time and that means nothing but straight basketball around our house!!  We were so happy that KU played in Omaha this year, so we decided to take advantage, leave the babe with my mom, and have a little alone time!

A little Spring decorating around our house....in honor of St. Patty's and my awesome hubby!

We finished off the night at a wine bar and decided that either a.) we are wine snobs, or b.) that place had weird wines!!  We had a heck of a time finding a good wine that we liked which is Never the case for us!  The atmosphere was great though and a perfect ending to our night!

Please excuse the blurry phone pic...but when it's just the two of you, you take what you can get!
After sleeping in and doing some shopping, we headed off to watch one heck of a game!!!

We headed home that night on a total high from the game!  Thank goodness because as we all know, Michael has issues with falling asleep at the wheel and I wasn't any help because I passed out!  But overall, it was an awesome weekend spent with the love of my life!  Thanks to my Mom and Ron for keeping our little guy for a couple of nights so we could get away!!!

Then I was lucky enough to get to reconnect with an old friend this week!!!  Meredith and her two awesome kiddos came up for a visit and it was just wonderful to see them!  So sad to say that this was our first time meeting each other's littlest ones but man, it sure was great!

It was our first trip to Fritz's and Maguire wasn't so sure what he thought about the trains at first!  It didn't take long for him to love it though!  Speaking of love....

Aren't those two cute?  What a good big brother this one is!

Next up, fun with the family!  My nieces and nephews were all on Spring Break last week so we got to spend some quality time with them!  I LOVE how my baby is the baby of the family because he is doted on like crazy!  Each cousin has so much love for my little guy...it's just so awesome to see!

Maguire was getting awfully comfortable with Mas and Aunt Miranda!  I thought he was going to fall asleep in Mason's arms!

These silly girls were awfully giggly and silly too....like always, of course!

No trip to Kansas City with my sisters would ever be complete without a trip to the mall!  Mason got a special treat at Build-A-Bear!

He warmed his heart, gave it a sense of humor, and jumped up and down to get it pumping!

"SpideyBear" will have a wonderful new home with Mason!

Next up, the American Girl store....the girls were in Heaven!  Maybe not the boys so much:)

Overall, it was a great Spring Break!!!  Busy, but full of quality time spent with my love, my baby, my family, and friends!  I just can't wait to do it again:)

Our Disney on Ice Adventure

Ahhh, my cup runneth over today!  Spent the morning with friends and just finished watching our beloved Hawks advance to the Elite 8!!!  Woo hoo!  Michael was slightly appalled by me though.  About 2 minutes or so left in the game he looks over at me and says, "How can you be about to fall asleep right now?!!!!!!"  I can't even help it!  I was just confident we'd win (wink, wink!)!  Hee hee!  I've got my second wind though and I want to get some pics on here since I haven't posted all week!

Doodles and I got to spend the morning with our best friends, T & Bossy-woo, and we headed down to Sprint Center to watch Disney on Ice.  T and I kept our expectations real low because we knew it was a crapshoot how the boys might act!  I mean, a 14 month and 21 month old??

I can honestly say that the boys did pretty great!  Ok, so Boss was an angel and sat totally mesmerized the whole time!  Maguire loved when Mickey and the gang came out!  I was definitely not surprised by this at all!!

My guy started to get pretty antsy though but a few snacks seemed to help!

After Mag decided it was time to go and Boss got a $4.5 million dollar toy, we were off and T and I got to have some quality girl time and conversation!  Yes, please!

What an awesome experience we got to have with our best friends!  Can't wait to have many more like them in the future:)

Oh and......Rock Chalk Jayhawk!  Go KU!!!
